Forestry
Charborough Estate’s woodland extends across the entire estate with Morden Bog National Nature Reserve being managed by the Forestry Commission.
Beyond the reserve, the Estates woodlands are a hive of activity. Here, traditional woodland management practices coexist with opportunities for leisure and sporting pursuits.
The woodland at Charborough is subject to a carefully considered management programme & higher tier countryside stewardship scheme, which aims to deliver both superior biodiversity outcomes and a profitable and productive woodland.

Sawn Ltd.
Sawn sawmill, located at Boar Hill, specialises in processing timber harvested from the estate. They offer a wide range of custom-cut products, including timbers, cladding, fencing, posts, and beams. Their primary stock consists of larch, cedar, Douglas fir, and oak. Sawn’s direct connection to the estate enables them to process other species as and when they become available.
This integrated approach, from sustainable forestry to sawmill production, significantly reduces the carbon footprint of their timber products.
