Sporting

Charborough provides a private, traditional rural estate shoot, with a limited number of days available to let each year.

This pheasant and partridge shoot covers parkland, farmland and woodland. The emphasis is on medium sized days (c140-250 birds), showing a variety of sporting birds in a friendly, well-organised and relaxed atmosphere.

Format of the Day – Guests meet for coffee at the shoot room at 9.00, before departing on the gun bus by 9.30. Guests have the option to shoot straight through to the end of the day or to stop for lunch after 3 or 4 drives.  In either case, elevenses will be provided mid to late morning.

We can provide a variety of catering packages over the day to suit.

Catering – We include coffee and biscuits at the shoot room at 9.00 and elevenses are served mid to late morning, between drives.  You can pre-book lunch in our attractive shoot room, to be served early afternoon or after the final drive (by arrangement), this includes a hearty game casserole (or similar), pudding and coffee, prepared and served by our chef.
